"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

Color Blocking...

I tried this technique a couple months ago, after finding it on Splitcoaststampers.com in the demo challenges forum... titled "TLC49 - Be a Blockhead! :)". It's called color blocking... & it reminds me of a Piet Mondrian painting: There are directions on the challenge page, but I used a template I created in Word. I drew a big rectangle & sized it for a card front, & then began filling it up with smaller rectangles & squares until I liked it. I printed off a few copies, & then marked it up to show what colors I would use where... and then lay the print on top of the card stock & cut through it to get my shapes. I then stamped them before pasting them down.

I created this one using circle punches, but the same technique... unfortunately I didn't have a template for this one! It would have been a lot easier!

WOW! So, this isn't patterned paper, you stamped it all? Gorgeous, such a cool technique. Thanks! And I LOVE Piet Mondrian!
